Fair Healthcare Coverage For All

Healthcare in this great country is a big complete mess, and that's the cold bitter truth. With a Republican President in office, HMOs seem like the only real option and people are getting robbed of their money having to pay thousands among thousands of dollars for Health Insurance coverage and their much-needed medications. HMOs or The Health Maintenance Organization Act, is a U.S. federal law that was enacted under President Richard Nixon in December of 1973. So basically if you have what they like to call, preexisting conditions, or neurological problems, psychiatrical health issues, or physical disabilities, you cannot be helped; you have to pay it all out of pocket, and even better, the insurance companies like Farmers or Allstate get to sit on a mountain of cash while charging excessive fees for pretty much any excuse they deem necessary. What people need to know, is that Obamacare is not a socialist policy, its clearly a Civil Rights issue because every so often disabled an

Fun Facts on American Popular Culture and Music

When people think of Rock N Roll music and its roots, they often think of Buddy Holly, or King of Rock N Roll legend Elvis Presley but actually Rock N Roll was first introduced by African American artists in the early 1940s. Artists like Ike Turner,Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, and Sister Rosetta Sharpe, all paved the way for future Rock N Roll musicians. Infact, Rock N Roll was branched out from Rhythm and Blues in the very beginning. It is not surprising that Rock N Roll did not catch on until the 1950s when more White artists decided to copy and bring the genre into the mainstream. The Music Industry, including the infamous Billboard Charts paid Caucasian bands to sell out and get radio play while almost all of the original African American artists who emerged in the very beginning remain forgotten to this day. This was even way before artists like Lenny Kravitz, Jimmy Hendrix, or Living Colour started making billboard hits.

Bills To Pass If I Were Senator

If I worked in the Senate or as a Politician there are a number of bills and fundraisers I would propose to become acts of legislature. By the way I think these are for the most part legitimate, good ideas to begin with that President Trump could spend his time on rather than putting all of his energy into the Mexican-American border wall. One first idea would be Michelle Obama's most famous movement of ending Child Obesity. The goal would be to reduce child obesity from 20% to 5% by the year 2030.The plan makes 70 recommendations for early childhood, for parents and caregivers, for school meals and nutrition education, for access to healthy food, and for increasing physical activity. The funds would be raised to go to schools around the country to help supply and prepare from a choice of healthy produce, as well as snacks to full meals, and physical fitness, as well as a mandatory class to help educate children on the proper decisions to eat healthy and stay out of the obese catego

The Mueller Report

Hello and Welcome. I am going to share my first blog on the topic of the Mueller Report and what I have gathered so far from the internet on the impeachment hearing. The Mueller probe is a large booklet of gathered data investigating the actions of Donald Trump and his campaign advisors before they cheated their way into the oval office. Did you know, that 3 Presidents in our bright and beautiful country's history have CHEATED their way to become president but only one has been impeached from office? First Nixon at Watergate, then Bush Jr. when he ran against Gore. They found electoral ballots of Gore's in a trash can in Florida. Then, Donald Trump. What's really interesting to me though is that of all the Presidents who did that in our nation's history, the three consistently belonged to the same party- The Republican party! With the investigation catching steam and the FBI now involved, this is not just an issue involving the Democrats anymore, the entire country is

Two American Presidents Who Were Overrated

In 1796, in George Washington's famous Farewell Address, he reminds Americans not to get involved in foreign affairs. As time went on America became involved in the UN Committee, countries started making weapons of mass destruction, and we needed a way to have a clear line of communication with other countries and so on and so forth...we have come a long way since then, times have changed and a lot of the time we don't really follow that sound word of advice in history as much. Now the first person I wanted to talk about, Teddy Roosevelt; is known through out American history as a successful military leader who valued American ideals and overcame strife at an early age. We often remember him for that saying, "Speak softly, but carry a big stick." Roosevelt though was one of the first Americans to abuse yellow journalism. In 1898 ideologically, I believe it was only in his own self-interest to bring about war. He used the newspaper to spread lies and convince the Ameri

Mexican Immigrants in America

Before the Mexican-American War a lot of people don't know that the stretch of land we know today as California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas used to be owned by Mexico. Mexican Westerners, fabricated as part of the American Western culture as far back as the 1840s. There is some biasness to what Ann Coulter had said about Mexicans on Fox News when she had said Mexicans have never been apart of American heritage, come on...really? I would like to discredit that real quick and say this; that our struggle as Mexican-Americans or Chicanos, in America; has always been prevalent in American history textbooks. I don't know where she got her information from, but Mexican immigrants have been making their voices heard in this country as early as the 1950s. The Zoot Suit Riots in particular is one event in American history I would like to pinpoint. Young Chicano Americans would dress up in white tailored suits to show empowerment, but police and military persons at the time would see t
